佛耶二教在谭嗣同《仁学》“天”概念重构中的作用

The Influence of Buddhism and Christianity on the Reconstruction of the Concept of “Heaven” in TAN Si-tong's Ren Xue

摘要: 谭嗣同的《仁学》是中外各种思想传统综合影响的产物,《仁学》中基本概念的建构,无不反映出这种混杂性影响。例如,《仁学》中"天"的概念,既有传统儒家的思想因素,又受到基督教和佛教的深刻影响。谭嗣同借助于基督教的"天"概念,对传统儒家作为人伦依据的义理之天概念进行了重构,将其改造为形上原理,并用之来论证政治、伦理、社会平等。基督教之"天"有实体上帝的含义,《仁学》对之进行了去实体化,在这个过程中,佛教《成唯识论》破天之法执的思想发挥了直接的作用。

Abstract: TAN Si-tong's Doctrine of Humanness(Ren Xue) is a product of the comprehensive influence of Chinese and foreign intellectual traditions and the construction of its basic concepts reflects the confounding effect of different traditions. For example, the concept of "Heaven" in Ren Xue not only contains the traditional Confucian intellectual factors, but also is deeply influenced by Christianity and Buddhism. With the assistance of the Christian concept of "Heaven", TAN Si-tong reconstructs the concept of "Heaven" as the basis of human ethics in traditional Confucianism and transforms it into a metaphysical principle to demonstrate political, ethical and social equality. However, the Christian concept of "Heaven" with the God as an entity is de-substantiated in Ren Xue. In this process, the Buddhist thought of breaking the dharma attachment to "Heaven" in The Treatise On the Perfection of the Doctrine of Consciousness-Only(Cheng Weishi Lun) plays a direct role.
