Abstract: Brahman culture, through direct transmission and indirect introduction via Buddhist Sutras, has exerted great influence on Chinese mythology and novels. The characters and story lines in some widely-spread stories reflect the elements of Brahman culture. The phenomenon that Chinese mythology hasn't become abundant until the Han Dynasty and Chinese novels haven't begun to flourish until the Tang and Song Dynasties is obviously related to the stimulation and influence of Brahmanism and other elements of imported religious Indian culture.
