On Napoleon's View of Religion and His Religious Policies

Abstract:

Napoleon is a theist but claims no faith in religion. He understands the importance of religion to people and attaches great importance to religious policies. He stresses in particular the importance of religion in consolidating his power and enhancing social security. His religious policies brought peace to France.
