Abstract:
Political thoughts tend to embody people' s reflections on their political life. The political thoughts in current China are the results of its reform and opening - up policy, which is releasing China from the influence of some out - of - date doctrines and helping it break through the ideologically socialist camp to enter a broader international arena. The increase of its internationalization leads to a series of political and cultural reactions, the most prominent symbol of which is the ups and downs of its current political thoughts. Before the 1990' s what hid behind the trend of political thought was the polarized opposition of cultural power and state power. As a result, the political thoughts went through a dramatic rise or fall. After that the market-oriented reform set a solid secular foundation for the course of China' s modernization. The secular power gradually neutralized the conflicts between cultural power and state power. Thus, the coexistence of various political thoughts took the place of the polarized opposition.
Key words: trend of political thoughts, cultural power, state power
