The Methodology for Interpretations of Traditional Chinese Philosophical Classics——A Focus on the Interpretation of the Text of the Great Learning

Abstract:

The Great Learning(Da Xue)possessed a very distinct position in the history of Chinese philosophy. Confucian scholars not only revised its texts, but also made some supplements.The developmental history of revised edi- tions of The Great Learning embodied ancient Chinese philosophers'special methods for their interpretations of classics, and reflected Chinese philosophy's inherent changes in its basic views and principles.
