The New European Policy and the Fonnation of the British Diplomacy of "Three Circles"

Abstract:

Both equilibrium and isolationism were constantly European policies that the Great Britain insisted on, but the influence of World War Ⅱ changed the situation. In later years of 1940' s Great Britain not only tried to take advantage of Europe to build up the "world third force", but also positively formed an alliance with Western European states for the first time in the peaceful period. This was really a theoretical and practical change in Great Britain' s foreign policy. The change led to appearance of three circles diplomacy of Great Britain.
