Abstract: Through an analysis of Elevating the Report, a prized mini article, from an angle of “form function”, this paper makes a study on the author’s intention, selfwriting text, circulated text, publication’s metalanguage, accepted context and so on in order to show what the writing style of the article is and explain why it is so.
