Abstract:

Dr. SUN Yat - sen advocated that China's rejuvenation should be achieved through the political and social revolution, that China should learn advanced Western civilization and at the same time set itself against occidentalization entirely, and that China should make itself wealthy and build up its military power through developing manufacture and trade. He even tried to put socialism into practice so that China could avoid capitalist disadvantages and surpass those developed countries. Owing to the limitation of times Dr. SUN Yat - sen's socialist economic thought was quite Utopia; however, he still left us some precious spiritual heritage.

Key words: the Three People's Principles, socialism, capitalism, political revolution
