摘要：

本文旨在探讨隐喻概念以及与之相关的一些语言现象。着重介绍了塞尔的《隐喻》、戴维森的《隐喻意谓什么》以及莱柯夫/约翰森的《我们依以生活的隐喻》, 指出了他们的疑点和不足, 提出了自己对隐喻概念的思考, 尝试从根本上修正哲学传统中对隐喻的定义, 把隐喻理解为通过已有的语词成形机制来规定另一些形式指引较不明确的经验。本文最后探讨了一般的隐合、蕴含概念, 提出了语义条件等新概念。

Abstract:

The present article begins by discussing various theories on metaphor, particularly those forwarded by Searle, Davison, and Lakoff and Johnson. After pointing out inadequacy of their theories, I proceed to present my own understanding of metaphor as endowing a form to experiences short of formal indication through well-formed experiences, which leads to a radical revision of traditional definition of metaphor. (The general concept of implication is investigated in the last sections and the new concept "semantic conditioning" is introduced.)
