摘要:

儒家资本主义学说是产生于80年代一种以儒家文化传统解释东亚经济增长的流行学说。它自称引中了韦伯关于新教伦理与资本主义发展关系的命题, 修正了韦伯关于儒家伦理不利于经济发展的看法。本文通过对该学说一个分论点: “勤俭论”(主张传统儒家的“勤俭”伦理, 促进了二战后东亚经济的发展)论证逻辑的剖析, 指出儒家资本主义学说其实只是在比附韦伯理论, 并没能提供东亚经济增长的有效解释。

Abstract:

The post - Confucian doctrine of capitalism, quite popular several years ago, tried to explain the increase of East Asian economy by the Confucian cultural tradition. It claimed to have extended Weber' s proposition about the relationship between Protestant ethics and development of capitalism and modified Weber' s idea that Confucian ethics blocked economic developments. This paper analyses the argumentative logic of "industrious and thrifty ethics"——a sub-view of the Confucian doctrine of capitalism which asserted that the traditional Confucian industrious ethics promoted the development of East Asian economy after World War Ⅱ. Unable to exceed Weber' s theory, this post-Confucian doctrine fails to provide an effective explanation of the development of East Asian economy.
