An Analysis of the Right - Wing Phenomenon in Japanese Society in the Turn of the Century

Abstract:

During the Cold War the American authorities preserved the Japanese emperor and propped up the Right-Wing to meet with their world strategy. In the 1970s-80s the economic strength of Japan was only inferior to U. S. A. The consciousness of the Mikado, the historical view of imperialism, militarism, ultra - nationalism and the thought trend of the ultra Right-Wing rose one by one. In the 90s the Japanese economic bubble broke, the party system took great changes, and the conservative political force got back a-gain. The political tendency of Japanese society has been turning to right distinctly. The cause of this occurrence includes several factors: the thought trend of the ultra-Right-Wing, economic factor, and political factor. It is a common hope and responsibility for the Japanese and world people to prevent the revival of militarism.
