The Reorganization Predicament of the Specialized Village——A Case Study of W Village in Chengzhou, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province

Abstract:

In the process of China's rural industrialization there have emerged a lot of specialized villages that deal in certain business or trades.Their integration and development has a distinct character.That is, the members of a specialized village community are highly homogenous; they are specialized in the same job and same product, and are confronted with the same market.However, this does not mean that it is just an interest community.The lack of interest ties within the specialized village community is an essential cause for its reorganization predicament.
