Abstract: The exclusiveness and incompatibility of values and the consequent contradictions, disruptions and conflicts among them, that is, the issue of "inter-values", is one of the most deep-rooted and serious challenges and risks that we face in the reality and contemporary society. The conflicts and risks of values need to be regulated and resolved at the level of value. Therefore, we need a "relational value", a value that can harmonized different values, or, a high-level value that can coordinate different values. Mutual respect for freedom, mutual acknowledgement and social justice are the three important aspects that modern society seeks in a "relational value". They coordinate values from different angles and thus play a vital role in stabilizing and developing modern society.
