Hamlet in 1601: Plot and Hero

Abstract:

To interpret the story and protagonist of Hamlet, most critics observed the play unknowingly from a perspective of modern naturalistic drama alone and came up with many unanswerable questions and mysteries. In the light of Christian culture of 1601, the play emerged as a story of a growing Christian saint.
