Abstract: At the macro level, Stark’s market theory of religion not only analyzes religious phenomenon and religious activities, but also involves multiple and complex interactions among nation, religion, individual beliefs, society, politics and so on. Beyond these, the implicit analysis of the “churchstate relationship” deeply criticizes all disadvantages coming with religious regulations, which provides useful references and ideas for the management and development of religion in the current Chinese society.
