摘要：

东晋大诗人陶渊明与当时庐山高僧慧远之间的交往历来为人津津乐道, 但却颇有似是而非之处。渊明常去庐山游观, 而东晋名士与名僧交游乃为时尚, 故其与慧远交往当为情理中事。渊明人品高尚, 慧远不入世俗, 学识渊博, 这是两人交往的基础。然渊明终究不入庐山僧团, 根本原因在于他的哲学思想与慧远佛教思想之间存在深刻矛盾, 致使两人无法志同道合。

Abstract:

This article investigates the relation between Tao Yuanming, the famous Eastern Jin poet, and Huiyan, the eminent Buddhist monk living in the Lushang Mountain. Tao Yuanming visited Lushan Mountain many times and it was a fashion in the Eastern Jin Period for scholars to make friends with monks. Tao Yuanming had a noble character, and Huiyan had retired from the secular world with profound learning. These were the basis of their relation. Their different philosophies of life led to the breakup of their relation.
